The design of the new version of the store assumed the creation of a complete website using promising technologies. The previous store engine, a proprietary solution provided by a certain Software house, did not meet the customer's needs in terms of functionality, efficiency and cost of service. Therefore, the task of Beecommerce was to transfer the store to software that offers the possibility of any interference in the store code and to take full advantage of the popular PWA technologies. The client needed a solution on which to base multiple sites and integrate with multiple warehouses, payment gateways and delivery methods. The choice fell on the Magento 2 engine. The reliability of the solution at high load was also important, so that the website could receive over 1000 users in one second without adversely affecting its functioning. We achieved this thanks to the distributed architecture in the Cloud with multi-stage caching. An important business indicator was to raise the limping conversion rate to at least the market average. This was achieved on the first day of the new version's operation. It proves that a well-designed user experience, separately for desktop and mobile, shortening shopping paths and optimizing page load times are key to generating conversions.
